After all I had learned and taken in from my visit with Leanne and the Akashic Records Reading, I felt that I needed (ok, wanted) more assurance.

What I have been discovering through this whole process is that an Awakening is wonderful — it is Magic manifested — and it is also confusing. Unnerving. By design, it is intended to shake you up, make you question the reality of the world you inhabit. It is all a little overwhelming, and when there is a vast history of mental illness on both your maternal and paternal sides — well, it’s been a challenge for me at times not to question my sanity. It’s been a challenge to lean in and trust my intuition. I needed another confirmation that I wasn’t losing it. Shortly after I had this thought, an opportunity came up, this time in the form of a Tarot reading. A sign that yes, despite my reservations and my ego self freaking out, The Universe was still listening, still pushing me forward. Still waiting for me to catch up.

I nearly missed my appointment — because being spiritually enlightened hasn’t done much for my chronic tardiness. Thankfully, Krystal was kind enough to let it slide. We chit-chatted for a few, and, as I had done before, I provided a vague description of what I had been experiencing since December and asked for any general information to come through.

She drew a 6 card spread, and immediately I felt a rush of energy flow through me. Krystal began to speak about the cards and what they represented. Before she got through the second card, I knew that the messages were accurate, appropriate, and would also repeat what the other readings had told me already.

King of Swords. Five of Swords. Ace of Cups.

The Lovers. Two of Swords. Temperance.

It was all about balance, a dance of energies. Shadow work would reveal the next steps. New beginnings, embracing power.

Then Krystal pulled the Foundation Card, the card that foretells the energy of the entire reading.

The High Priestess graced us with her presence. This card spoke to intuition and the confidence around feminine energy. It indicated a willingness to work through the darkness to find light on the other side. It implied power. It’s a big energy card — Krystal was impressed. I…
